Day 1- Cold conditions greeted the twelve teams on Friday with a high of 34 degrees and winds from 5- 15kts. Wisconsin's team started out the regatta with 7 people there for sailing and on land support. That number was put to shame the next day when 11 more joined in to represent the team. In addition to team members, many alumni came to show their support. Wisconsin had so many willing sailors, that they even lent one to another team whose crew fell ill. Boston College established themselves a deep lead with six straight bullets. Wisconsin and Minnesota fought the whole regatta for second place, and the MCSA championship, switching places almost every race up until the very last one. Day 2- conditions were consistent with the day before (weather and results). At the end of the day, Wisconsin and Minnesota were separated by one point going into Sunday's racing. Day 3- winds up to 30 knots were predicted and instead the sailors were greated by 5-7 knots out of the SSW and much warmer temperatures that even some were sailing in shorts. At the end of the day Boston College won the regatta for the second year in a row with 95 points. Wisconsin kept the crowd in suspense until they crossed the finish line in the last race earning them second place and the MCSA Championship, with 129 points, with Minnesota finishing just two points behind.
